A change has been made to the Physician Note function to no longer require the creator of the physician note to sign the document. The provider who originated the document (physician note) is not required to sign off on the document, in NextGen® Inpatient Clinicals v2.6.3.2.

Answer: By accessing the NextGen® Hospital Solutions KBM Content Catalog available on the Knowledge Exchange.
With the Admit Order collections screen, and through other normal uses of the NextGen® Inpatient Clinicals application, all of the required Physician Certification requirements will be captured. No implementation or workflow changes are required to meet this CMS criteria.
The NextGen® Inpatient Financials application offers the ability to export and print a list of the current entries within many of the module’s tables. This can be helpful for reviewing all the information captured within that table.
