Clients must be on our latest EHR– 5.8 or 5.8 UD1 – by December 31, 2014 to begin a full year of MU 2015 reporting beginning January 1. You also will need the KBM 8.3 series or our MU 2014 standalone template set. Please note that the standalone MU template set only supports a limited set of quality measures and does not support NextGen Share. You must upgrade to our KBM 8.3 Series in advance of the October 1, 2015 ICD-10 compliance date in order to have templates compatible with the new code sets.

∗Note that minimum use levels of patient portal functionality, and related patient portal use reporting, is a mandatory requirement for MU 2015.
Please note that to meet these deadlines, you should already have begun the upgrade process and also should have already contracted for any additional required interfaces (lab, immunization, syndromic surveillance, cancer registry, Direct, etc.). Key dates are:
- For KBM 8.3.8 upgrades – the last date for PROD upgrade is the weekend of December 19, 2014.
- For MU Stand Alone Templates – Test install must be completed by December 17; PROD install must be completed by December 30.
- For interfaces with signed SOF received – installation is scheduled. Interfaces requested after November 30 cannot be guaranteed to be installed prior to December 31.
- For 5.8/5.8 UD1 upgrades – If you desire for NextGen to perform the 5.8/5.8 UD1 upgrade for you (service hours apply), a Support ticket must be opened prior to December 12. Limited slots are available.
