The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 is set to put fee rates on the following path:
- Medicare payments will jump 0.5% on July 1 followed by a 0.5% annual rise from 2016 to 2019
- In 2020, payments flatten for six years with a 0.0% payment adjustment through 2025
- In 2026, providers will be subject to one of two conversion factors
- 0.75% rate increase for practices involved in an alternative payment model (APM) or
- A 0.25% increase for providers who are not involved in an APM.
