The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced they will be publishing Medicare physician payment data annually. The only other time Medicare payments were released was in April 2014.
That data was for 2012 Medicare payments totaling $77 billion for 880,000 providers. It showed exact services for which providers billed Medicare, including the average payments for each service and the number of patients who received each service. The exact date of the next release has not yet been announced by CMS.
