NextGen Healthcare is very pleased to announce that NextGen® Enterprise EHR version 6.2021.1 Patch 79 has achieved Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-Health IT) 2015 Edition Cures Update certification via Drummond Group LLC, an Authorized Certification Body (ACB). NextGen Healthcare is the first EHR developer to certify a complete EHR solution to the 2015 Edition Cures Update criteria. This is a testament to our commitment to you, all our valued clients, and the healthcare industry overall.
To receive this certification, NextGen® Enterprise version 6.2021.1 Patch 79 was tested to be in compliance with applicable standards and certification criteria put forth by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). With this certification, practices using NextGen® Enterprise have assurance that their software meets the most rigorous interoperability standards and delivers the necessary functionality needed to participate in various regulatory programs requiring the use of certified electronic health record technology (CEHRT) in 2023 and beyond.
In order to successfully meet the applicable certification criteria, NextGen Healthcare performed additional development on top of the 6.2021.1 (Spring ’21) release. Therefore, all clients who upgrade to our current release from this point forward will be in compliance with the 2015 Edition Cures Update. Clients who upgraded to version 6.2021.1 prior to this announcement will simply need to apply a patch to bring their software into alignment with the certified version listed on the Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL) website.
