We’re excited to announce a new, no-cost feature in the NextGen® PxP Patient Portal: Actionable SMS Invitations. You can now securely send patients personalized invitations to join the portal via text message or email. After receiving the invitation, patients can create a username and password, then verify their mobile number with a one-time passcode (OTP).
Once enrolled, patients can choose to receive OTPs via text or email when logging in—adding an extra layer of security to protect their health information.
Note: This feature requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to be enabled. You can configure MFA settings in Site Generator, including allowing email as a second authentication method.
