Important Reminder: Apply Your Regulatory Software Update Today

This is a final reminder that clients should apply the DSI update package prior to the start of their 2025 Quality Payment Program reporting period. If you have already applied this update, you may disregard this notice.

The update package will address the latest certification requirements set forth by the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy and Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ASTP/ONC). It is crucial for all clients participating in the Medicare Quality Payment Program and utilizing NextGen® Enterprise version 6.2021.1 Cures or NextGen® Enterprise 8 to apply this update to ensure compliance and continue demonstrating meaningful use of certified EHR technology (CEHRT).

  • Clients who participate in the Merit-based Incentive Program System (MIPS) payment pathway, need to be live on CEHRT by the start of their 180-day Promoting Interoperability reporting period.
  • Clients who participate in the advanced Alternate Payment Model (APM) pathway should have this update by January 1, 2025 to meet full-year reporting requirements.

Important Next Steps
If you are a client that needs to be live on CEHRT for 2025 reporting and have not yet applied the update, we recommend opening a support case no later than May 9, 2025, with the following details:

  • Category: Install, Patches, Upgrades
  • Topic: Request- DSI Package Install

Once you have submitted a case, our Client Services team will work with you to schedule your installation and provide next steps to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for you and your practice. NextGen Healthcare does not encourage self-installation of this update.
