Are you planning to do any maintenance on your system servers? Perhaps you are planning to run a Windows update?
Before you run that update, contact your Client Care representative by submitting an SDE ticket. You might have interfaces that need to be suspended while you do the maintenance. Don’t worry about lost data; all transmissions will be stored until the interfaces are back up and running and the data will be automatically transmitted as normal.
NextGen® Hospital Solutions Support team requests an SDE ticket be submitted notifying us of the server maintenance prior to the update commencing. Use the phrase “We will be conducting server maintenance on [Date] for [reason]. The impacted servers are…” in the description line for easy identification. Your Client Care representative will coordinate the times for your interfaces to be suspended.
Following this process will ensure that additional issues are not created within your applications. At the end of the day, this will make the update smoother for everyone, your interfaces included!
