Dr. Bob Murry Promoted to CMO

The Greek philosopher, Heraclitus, famously observed, “Change is the only constant in life.” Many of you know our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Betty Rabinowitz, as an agent of change. During her illustrious healthcare career, she held many roles including internist, professor, university medical director and entrepreneur before she joined NextGen Healthcare in 2017 and became our CMO in 2018. Earlier this year, Dr. Betty advised us of her intent to retire at the end of this year. We are incredibly grateful for the profound positive impact she has had on our company and our clients. While we’ll miss Dr. Betty’s wisdom, kindness and wit on a daily basis, she’ll always be a treasured member of the NextGen Healthcare family.

NextGen Healthcare is pleased to announce that Dr. Bob Murry, NextGen Healthcare’s long-time Chief Medical Informatics Officer, has been promoted to Chief Medical Officer. Many of you know Dr. Murry from LCUG and UGM. You may not know that, he’s been with NextGen Healthcare since 2012 and has guided strategy and vision for select products and services for nearly a decade. Under his leadership, the company’s NextGen® Enterprise solution has risen to become the top-rated ‘Best in KLAS’ ambulatory electronic health record system (11-75 physicians) in 2021. Previously, Dr. Murry served as Medical Director for Ambulatory Informatics and CMIO for Hunterdon Medical Center while practicing family medicine at Delaware Valley Health Center.

As the CMO torch is passed, rest assured, NextGen Healthcare’s commitment to lead the transformation of ambulatory healthcare will not waver. We appreciate your loyalty and trust in us as we take our role as your partner in success very seriously.
