The CMS deadline is January 1, 2021 to begin using the updated Advanced Beneficiary Notice of non-coverage (ABN) forms for services requiring notification of non-coverage under CMS rules.
Three updated forms are now available for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Specifically, these forms are will replace existing forms launched from:
- Orders Module
- NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine
- NextPen
NextGen® Enterprise clients should follow these instructions on Success Community to replace the ABN files in their software before January 1. However, CMS will allow with the current or updated form the option of using either the current or updated ABN before the deadline.
NextGen® Office clients should visit the CMS website to download the new form and updated guidelines for its use.
