2016 NextGen HQM PQRS Reporting Updates and Deadlines

NextGen Healthcare offers two available options for PQRS 2016 Submission using the NextGen® Health Quality Measures (NextGen HQM) reporting module (i.e., the HQM Portal):  PQRS Qualified Registry Reporting and PQRS EHR Reporting.  Please review the information below to effectively manage reporting submission deadlines:

Please note the  NextGen Healthcare deadlines for new HQM installs and program requests for 2016 reporting have passed. Late request will be considered but we cannot guarantee the process can be completed in time to meet CMS submission deadlines.

PQRS EHR Reporting

The EHR Reporting program submissions to CMS for QRDA files have begun to CMS. Please review your files to work warnings and/or errors within the file as well as confirm data is correct. The file must be opened and marked as approved by a Client Admin User in order for NextGen Healthcare to Submit the file.

  • February 24, 2017 –NextGen Deadline for clients to have their QRDA files approved and ready for submission to CMS

IMPORTANT: Please confirm that the Last data date shows 12/31/2016 prior to approving file.

  • February 28, 2017 8:00 p.m. –CMS Deadline for NextGen Healthcare to submit client-approved QRDA files submitted to CMS

PQRS Qualified Registry Reporting:

The PQRS Registry program submissions to CMS for XML files have begun. Please review your files to work warnings and/or errors within the file as well as confirm data is correct. The file must be opened and marked as approved by a Client Admin User in order for NextGen Healthcare to Submit the file.

March 10, 2017 – NextGen Healthcare deadline for clients to have their XML file(s) approved and ready for submission to CMS.

IMPORTANT: Please confirm that the Last data date shows 12/31/2016 prior to approving file.

  • March 31, 2017, 8:00 p.m. –CMS Deadline for NextGen Healthcare to submit client-approved XML files submitted to CMS

Clients must abide by the NextGen Healthcare deadlines for submissions in order to allow NextGen Healthcare to receive all responses back from CMS regarding initial submissions and resubmissions in a timely manner, as well as enable us to assist clients with any needed corrections or further resubmissions through the end of CMS Reporting.
