Patient Portal V.2.1.1 Release Update

The V.2.1.1 release of NextGen® Patient Portal was successfully released February 1, 2015.  For those currently running Patient Portal, no additional downloads or installation is needed. All updates will take place within the Patient Portal web site.

Featured enhancements of V.2.1.1 include:

  • An improved View Practice Profile page on the NextGen Patient Portal dashboard
  • An improved Enrollment process (This feature also available in the mobile website) – Enrollment has been modified to facilitate the completion of enrollment by patients who do not have an email address in order to comply with new ONC standards. The patient will be able to complete their enrollment using their enrollment token and date of birth as well as either their email address or last name. In addition, the enrollment token will not expire.
  • Metadata about Personal Health Records (PHRs) request inserted into the PHI Log template in NextGen® Ambulatory EHR
  • The option to download CCDAs as an XML file from the NextGen Patient Portal is now available on the mobile website. Patient Portal Mobile now supports download of PHR as XML files from the NextGen Patient Portal mobile website.
  • Date-based filtering on the View My Chart page – The date-based filtering feature on the View My Chart page allows the user to determine the amount of data they wish to view on the PHR sections by specifying a date range.*

* This feature is expected to be generally released and in production use for users March 29.
