The NextGen® Patient Portal Product Management team is pleased to announce the release of NextGen Patient Portal 2.4. This release boasts a number of regulatory enhancements including compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0A. The WCAG include the four usability principles:
- Perceivable: User Interface (UI) and information are perceivable in multiple ways
- Operable: UI and navigation are operable by multiple means
- Understandable: UI and information are understandable, readable, and predictable
- Robust: content is compatible with current and future user tools (e.g. mobile devices and assistive technologies)
Additional functionality includes:
- InstaMed patient payments processed through Patient Portal are payment card industry (PCI) compliant
- Patients can request Patient Health Records (PHR) for specific timeframes from the Patient Portal
- New CCDA send option accommodates sending C-CDA information in a password protected zip file
