Our Fall 2018 release marks the beginning of a new era in our clinical templates (formerly KBM). NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine is a major, multi-year, multi-release, architectural re-platforming of how clinical content is built and expressed in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR.

Better patient engagement

Say hello to telehealth! Through our new partnership with telehealth innovator OTTO Health*, clients can incorporate telehealth functionality into the NextGen Enterprise platform (5.9/8.4 or higher). Telehealth functionality opens a new window of convenience, service, solutions, and satisfaction for both patients and providers.

There’s even more in the Fall 2018 release. Find a better user experience with new behavioral health (BH) program configuration options in the EHR and PM; better specialty practice functions; a streamlined and more secure patient portal; third-party data that’s more actionable across the patient care continuum; and standards-based data exchange drives extensive interoperability.

Regulatory Deadline

NextGen® Enterprise EHR (5.9.2) is ONC 2015 Edition-certified. Clients participating in the Medicaid or MIPS Promoting Interoperability (PI) programs need to upgrade to 2015 Edition-certified software by the beginning of their 90-day performance period in 2019 – that means no later than October 1, 2019.

Upgrade incentives

We’ve refined our upgrade incentives. Check with your account manager to see which ones you qualify for. Clients upgrading from version 5.8 UD3 or earlier are eligible for a 15% discount on NextGen Professional Consulting Services if they schedule their production upgrade before January 31, 2019.
