NextGen Data Retention and Archive Utility, V2.0 Available Now – No Cost until 2/1/16

The Data Retention and Archive Utility is designed to assist clients with managing data capacity on the NextGen® system:

  • Available storage space increases once the existing data is archived
  • Response time for database backup and maintenance improves due to lower space utilization
  • Response time for data retrieval improves due to increased data capacity
  • Reduces the risk of eDiscovery of data that is no longer legally required to be retained

Enhancements to the Data Retention and Archive Utility in Version 2:

  • Patient Statement Images
  • Patient Insurance Cards
  • Advanced Audit
  • Significant Events (Version 1)
  • Appointments (Version 1)

This version of the data archive utility will be installed free of charge between 11/1/2015 and 2/1/2016 while in Limited General Release (LGR).

This utility is not available for self-installation.  Please open a Support Ticket to have the Data Archive Utility V2.0 installed and include following information in the appropriate fields:

  • Application/Product this is regarding:  “Other NextGen® Products and Utilities”
  • Select a Subject:  “Data Archive Utility”
  • Incident Description:  “We would like V2 of the Data Archive Utility installed in TEST during the Limited General Release (LGR) period.”
