The NextGen® Data Retention and Archive Utility (DRAU) is designed to assist clients with managing data capacity on the NextGen Healthcare system:
- Available storage space increases once the existing data is archived in a non-indexed, retrievable database or to XML.
- Response time for database backup and maintenance improves due to lower space utilization
- Response time for data retrieval improves due to decreased data volume
- Reduces the risk of eDiscovery of data that is no longer legally required to be retained

This utility is not available for self-installation. Please open a Support Ticket to have the Data Retention Archive Utility V2.0 installed and include the following information in the appropriate fields:
