Care Guidelines

The Care Guidelines 1.0 – Setup course covers how to create and modify clinical guidelines to meet the needs of your practice and patient population. You’ll also learn how to set up orderable tests, test equivalents, and test alternatives; manage medication classes, diagnosis groups, and DBPicklists; and configure recommended care and metrics.

The Care Guidelines 1.0 – Workflow course walks you through how to activate care guidelines, manage orderables (protocols), use personalized orders and reminders, address recommended care items, and navigate the panels of the Care Guidelines template.

ePrescribing

The 5.8 ePrescribing – Setup and Administration course teaches you how to complete ePrescribing setup including installing formularies and pharmacies, enrolling providers with Surescripts, setting up users in System Administrator, and authorizing providers for ePrescribing of Controlled Substances (ePCS). The course also walks you through recommendations for ePrescribing maintenance, including running the Formulary Data Loader Update and Medication Update utilities.

The 5.8 ePrescribing – Working with eRx course explains how to set up EHR preferences to optimize the ePrescribing workflow, including selecting Prescribing Delegates and designating Formulary Search as your default medication search. You’ll also learn how to send new prescriptions using ePrescribing (including ePCS), check patient eligibility, request medication history, search for medications using a formulary, and manage matched and unmatched refill requests.
