Nuance Communications has terminated our ability to continue to sell and support Dragon solutions to our clients. If you purchased Dragon solutions through NextGen Healthcare, effective April 1, 2018, we can no longer sell any add-on or new solutions to you.
While we are disappointed in this decision, NextGen Healthcare and Nuance will work together to ensure this is transparent to you, our clients, from a billing, additional purchase, and support perspective.
For any orders that you have already placed with NextGen Healthcare, we will continue to bill and provide support for the remainder of the term for that original order.
To ensure that you can continue to add on any Dragon solutions to coincide with practice expansion or other requirements that you have, contact Medical Information Software Technology (MIST). While you can contact Nuance directly, because MIST is very familiar with both our NextGen® Enterprise EHR and Dragon solutions (and most likely was the group that implemented Dragon for you), we encourage you to contact MIST directly.
If you have purchased Dragon® Medical ONE (DMO) through NextGen Healthcare, we will continue to provide billing and support services to you for the remainder of your 36-month term. When you need to purchase additional DMO subscription licenses, please contact MIST. At the end of your 36-month term, Nuance will contact you directly for any potential renewals.
If you have purchased Dragon® Medical Practice Edition (DMPE), Dragon® Medical 360 (DM360), or Dragon® Medical Enterprise Network Edition (DMENE), and need to purchase additional licenses, please contact MIST.
Also, if you previously purchased any of these products and paid one-time fees for the licenses, NextGen Healthcare billed you either monthly or quarterly for annual maintenance and support fees. Please note that upon the annual renewal of the maintenance and support for any perpetual Dragon licenses previously purchased, NextGen Healthcare will no longer bill you. While you can directly contact Nuance to continue with new annual renewals for support and maintenance, Nuance has informed NextGen Healthcare that they will contact you directly when your previously-purchased individual perpetual license maintenance and support terms are approaching their annual renewal date.
Generally, we recommend that you contract MIST for all prospective services needed by your organization on Dragon products.
