CMS has announced the posting of hardship exception applications for the 2017 Quality Payment Program (QPP). MIPS-eligible clinicians and groups who qualify for the hardship exception can apply for a reweighting of their MIPS Advancing Care Information (ACI) performance category score to 0% of the final score.
Note: The 25% weighting of MIPS ACI category would be reallocated to the MIPS Quality performance category.
