The new NextGen Ambulatory Patient API (NextGen API) General Release (GR) version will be available for download December 14. We’re creating an All Things API Success Community page that will include client and developer information needed to create the interactivity patients expect. Page will be available soon!
You can comply… with the new API!
In 2018, NextGen Healthcare clients attesting to MIPS ACI (non-transition) or Stage 3 MU must provide patients with access to their health information–using an application of the patient’s choice–configured to meet the technical specifications of the NextGen API. This may be an iPhone or Android “app,” or any other technology the patient may wish to use that can be configured to connect to the API. NextGen Healthcare clients must deploy API access prior to the start of their 2018 QPP or MU Stage 3 reporting period.
