URGENT: Immediate Action Required
Over the last three years, NextGen Healthcare has advised its clients that access/use/support of the McKesson/RelayHealth Patient Education product was ending as this product was being sunsetted and replaced with the Healthwise® Patient Instructions.
The McKesson/RelayHealth Patient Education was officially sunsetted with the release of NextGen®Ambulatory EHR v. 5.8 and NextGen® Knowledge Base Model (NextGen KBM) v8.3. The McKesson/RelayHealth product is no longer being updated; and accordingly, should not be used any further. Most clients have already migrated to the Healthwise product but all clients who still need to make the transition must take action immediately.
- Effective September 30, 2016, all access/use/support of the McKesson/RelayHealth Patient Education will end.
- In order for the NextGen® system to have access and use of patient education materials, clients must complete migration to the Healthwise Patient Instructions solution on or before 9/30/2016. After 9/30/2016, that access and use will terminate. So please switch today!
How to switch
The process is very simple: plus the switch is free. To switch, simply open a Support Case with the following specifications:
- Category: Product Maintenance
- Topic: Install
- Subject: “McKesson Swap”
Coordinators will email you a Provider Count Spreadsheet which will be used to identify all providers needing access to use the Healthwise product. We will switch McKesson/RelayHealth license you are now paying for with the same number of Healthwise licenses – free of charge. If you have additional providers needing access to patient education above what you are paying for, we will work with you to identify which additional licenses may be required. With the completed spreadsheet, we will generate a new license key to be applied to your system that will allow use and access of the Healthwise offering.
