2017 CPT/HCPCS Invalid Code Analysis Scripts

A script analysis tool, CPT®/HCPCS Invalid Code Analysis Scripts, is now available to assist in the identification and exchange of 2017 CPT® codes. Any client receiving the new codes via subscription or purchase should run this script to facilitate the updating of codes.

The CPT®/HCPCS Invalid Code Analysis Scripts analyze 25 different locations within a client database in the NextGen® KBM where an invalid and/or revised CPT/HCPCS Code will reside. The result will be 25 different query results that can be copied or exported from Microsoft® Query Analyzer/SQL Server® Management Studio and used to indicate where customizations are required on the client’s NextGen KBM.

There are no restrictions on any version of the NextGen® Ambulatory EHR or NextGen KBM. The scripts will work on any version. No data will change as a result of implementing this process. This is strictly an analysis tool to search different areas within the templates to find the hard-coded CPT/HCPCS codes.  Please note: NextGen Healthcare will automatically run this tool for any Hosted client.

For more information regarding the CPT and HCPCS invalid code analysis scripts, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community (https://www.community.nextgen.com/) to read the article called CPT/HCPCS Codes Package for NextGen KBM – 2017. The attachment in this article provides the scripts and user instructions to suppress the CPT and HCPCS codes that are no longer valid.
