2016 HQM PQRS Reporting Updates and Deadlines

NextGen Healthcare offers two available options for PQRS 2016 Submission within the HQM reporting module (HQM Portal):  PQRS Qualified Registry Reporting and PQRS EHR Reporting.  Please review the information below to effectively manage reporting deadlines:

NextGen Healthcare HQM Deadlines for All Methods of PQRS Reporting

The NextGen Healthcare deadlines for new HQM installs and program requests are listed below:

  • December 16, 2016 – HQM New Client Install request to meet 2016 program year reporting and submissions
  • December 29, 2016 – HQM Existing Client request to meet 2016 program year reporting and submissions

We will make every effort to accommodate late requests but cannot guarantee that the process can be completed in time to meet CMS submission deadlines.

PQRS EHR Reporting

The EHR Reporting program QRDA file generation was released in HQM 4.2 and is available for client review. Please begin to review your files to work warnings and/or errors within the file as well as confirm data is correct. This will ensure you will be ready once CMS submissions start in January.

  • February 24, 2017 –NextGen Deadline for clients to have their XML’s approved files ready for submission to CMS

 PQRS Qualified Registry Reporting:

The PQRS Registry XML file generation was released in NextGen HQM 4.2 and is available for client review. Please begin to review your files to work warnings and/or errors within the file as well as confirm data is correct. This will ensure you will be ready once CMS submissions start in January.

  • March 10, 2017 – NextGen Healthcare deadline for clients to have their XML’s approved and ready for submission to CMS.

We will make every effort to accommodate late requests but encourage review of your files as early as possible to ensure no delays with being able to approve your files for submission to CMS when it starts in January and to meet these deadlines. These deadlines will allow NextGen Healthcare to receive all responses back from CMS regarding initial submissions and resubmissions in a timely manner as well as enable us to assist clients with any needed corrections or further resubmissions through the end of CMS Reporting.
