2015 PQRS-GPRO JUNE 30 DEADLINE FAST APPROACHING

Group practices have only until June 30, 2015, to elect and register for the 2015 Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) Group Practice Reporting Option (GPRO). PQRS GPRO is one reporting option available to groups with two or more eligible professionals (EPs) to meet the satisfactory reporting criteria to avoid the 2017 PQRS payment adjustment and the 2017 Value Modifier payment adjustment.

IMPORTANT: It If you want to report GPRO through NextGen Healthcare you must register with CMS, specifying either ‘Qualified Registry’ or ‘CERHT EHR Data Submission Vendor’, the two reporting methods NextGen Healthcare supports. As noted by CMS, after June 30, 2015, groups cannot change their election as a GPRO or their reporting method.

Critical CMS information on how physicians and groups avoid the Value Modifier payment adjustment is available at: https://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Medicare-Fee-for-Service-Payment/PhysicianFeedbackProgram/Downloads/What-To-Do-In-2015-For-The-2017-VM-03-24-15.pdf

GPRO Registration is accessed via the Physician Value – Physician Quality Reporting System (PV-PQRS) Registration System at: https://portal.cms.gov/wps/portal/unauthportal/home/.

GPRO Registration requires a valid IACs account which should be established or activated immediately at: https://applications.cms.hhs.gov/warning.html

More information about PQRS GPRO registration is available at: http://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Medicare-Fee-for-Service-Payment/PhysicianFeedbackProgram/Self-Nomination-Registration.html.
