As of June 30, 2020, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) is retiring 2014 Edition certification and removing all active product listings from its Certified HIT Product Listing (CHPL) for this certification.
This is mainly a formality, as 2015 Edition certified EHR technology (CEHRT) has been required for participation in the Quality Payment Program and the Medicaid Promoting Interoperability programs starting in the 2019 performance year. While there is no action required from you, we want to make sure clients are aware of the following changes:
- ONC will immediately update the CHPL to reflect only 2015 Edition CEHRT under the Active Certifications category
- NextGen Healthcare has updated the Certifications page on our website, removing the 2014 Edition tab
- Per ONC requirements, NextGen Healthcare has also updated the Mandatory Disclosures language on our website
If for historical reasons (such as a CMS or state Medicaid audit for a past performance year) you need to look up a CHPL ID associated with the 2014 Edition, you can still search for 2014 Edition certificates under the “Inactive Certificates” on the CHPL.
Reminder: To receive audit assistance such as a vendor proof of CEHRT access letter, please open a support case for “MU Vendor Letter” and follow instructions on Success Community.
