FQHC Funding Temporarily Extended – President Signs Continuing Resolution to Fund Through November 21

On Friday September 27, President Trump signed a continuing resolution that funds the federal government through November 21. This includes Section 330 federal grant funding for community health centers, among other provisions.

Approved by the Senate earlier last week, the legislation extends through November 21 funding for community health centers, the National Health Service Corps, and the Teaching Health Centers that operate graduate medical education programs. Despite a bipartisan budget deal in early August, this funding “patch” was needed to extend government funding beyond the previous September 30 deadline. Over the next two months, community health center advocates hope to secure a long-term extension of this funding.
