Use 2023 ICD-10 Codes October 1, 2022

New 2023 ICD-10 codes have been released by The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The changes include:

  • 1,179 new codes
  • 28 code revisions
  • 288 deletions

The updated 2023 ICD-10-CM and 2023 ICD-10-PCS codes must be used for discharges and patient encounters effective October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023. Please take action now to be in regulatory compliance and to avoid claims processing interruption.

All clients, including those managed by NextGen® Managed Cloud Services, are required to take action to update ICD-10 codes. To avoid rejections and denials due to ICD-10 code changes, we urge you to take action now.

You may also submit a case through the Success Community using the category Practice Management (Enterprise) and the topic ICD10 Code Import, or the category of Adaptive Content Engine and the topic of ACE Ancillary Tools if it is Adaptive Content Engine-related.
